Newborns infected with MRSA

Three cases of MRSA infection has been detected in people who were treated in BB in Kristianstad. More potential vehicles are investigated.

It was in mid-July as the first case of MRSA, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, was discovered. A culture of a little difficult healed wound of a woman who remained inside the BB showed that she wore on the multi-resistant bacteria. Many carriers of MRSA do not notice at all of the bacteria, but health care can outbreaks known to be very difficult to get rid of the bacteria and can in severe cases cause difficult to treat infections. Central Hospital Kristianstad has closed two wards where the infected and the rooms have been cleaned up. Before the tests show that the rooms are free of MRSA held halls closed. The woman and the child found carrying the bacteria are reportedly from Region Skåne right carrier and not sick.
